The Day The Crayons Quit

This is such a fun book! And not only is it funny for kids, its funny for adults too.

Which is a total bonus when your child asks you to read the same story over and over again.

If that story happens to be The Day The Crayons Quit, you won’t mind.

Why We Like It:

All Duncan wants to do is color. But when he opens his box of crayons, he finds a bunch of letters saying “we quit!”

Blue is over coloring all that water, orange and yellow aren’t speaking to each other, and pink just wants to get used.

Each spread features the letter from a particular color and drawings by Duncan or his coloring books. The illustrations are great!

And the crayons list of grievances are funny. They will probably remind you of certain friends and family members.

One of the most important things we can do for our kids is to encourage their imaginations. In life, you’ve always got to problem solve and come up with creative solutions. That is just what Duncan does!

He comes up with a very inventive solution to get the result that he wants (being able to color with all the crayons in a good mood) by giving them what they need.

A good lesson for future executives. Your kids will never look at a box of crayons the same way again.
